Earlier it was the immense wealth of our motherland which attracted all kinds of marauders which resulted in ravishing of our wealth, subjugation of our populace and rapine of our women folk.
Our land is so bestowed with natural resources that all the major corporate giants on the globe want a share of this natural bounty, be it coal reserves, iron, aluminium, maganese or other minerals. The visible result of this phenomenon can be seen in the struggles by the local population against giant corporations like Posco and Vedanta.
Apart from the natural resources, another mouth watering avenue in our country is the teeming millions. For the multinational companies, the billion plus population means that many consumers for their products. A virtually never ending market. Billions of dollars. It is like a dream for capitalists, which they want never to end. Who would?
But then they have to ensure that this dream does not vanish into thin air. They know that the day the collective psyche of the nation realizes its worth, they will shut the doors for these vultures and strengthen their internal economy, instead of acting as a 'market' for foreign forces. That is the force of Nationalism.
The Britishers knew this when they were directly ruling us (today US and UK are ruling us indirectly). When Tilak, Bhagat Singh, Savarkar, Gandhi and Neta ji Subhash Chandra Bose wanted poorn swaraj, they also knew this.
That is why the British handed over the reigns to a thoroughly westernized Nehru, who continued with the same policies which favored the alien forces. But the cruel joke played out was that we have gained freedom. In fact, it was a change of faces but everything remained the same. The nation was lulled into a false sense of freedom and swaraj.
The imperialistic forces still have the same factor to fear. Nationalism. The day we will realize the strength of Unity and Nationalism, we will become the super power in every respect. The conglomeration of all the vested forces still know that nationalism will be their undoing.
That is why they have decided to create an atmosphere in which nationalistic thinking should be discouraged. This conspiracy is being played, mainly at psychological level. Control the mind, control the people. The tools are media, NGOs, amoral intellectuals and, of course, corrupt government.
A large number of persons with longish degrees at the end of their name plates or with a foreign degree to their names are at the forefront of a campaign with the objective of maligning the word 'nationalism'. One can call them intellectual mercenaries, intellectual pimps or intellectual whores, depending upon his/her sensitivities. In this post I will talk about one such person. Angana Chatterji.
Most of the citizens do not know this woman in her forties, who is an associate professor of California Institute of Integral Studies. The institute was set up to bridge the gap between east and west by an Indian philosopher and educator Haridas Chaudhri, who had been chosen by Sri Aurbindo. promote the vision and thoughts of Sri Aurbindo. Ironically, Angana Chatterji is using the same institute to do exactly the opposite. Let us see how.
When Ghulam Nabi Fai was arrested by FBI for being an ISI agent, some newspapers asked Angana about her links with him.
Let us hear out her clarification, as published in DNA newspaper on 15/08/2011:
“Had I known that the ISI was in directing his actions, I would never have had anything to do with him,” she said. She had “assumed that if congresspersons and senators were willing to associate with him, he must be a legitimate lobbyist in Washington.”
May be she has been fooled by slick talking Fai. Let us see if the agenda of Pakistan's ISI has the same agenda as this professor.
For that let us look at her Bio-data.
Well, she must be a very naive woman, who proudly mentions in her Bio-data that
She is currently working on issues of militarized governance, gender and identity, and self-determination in Indian-administered Kashmir
One of the lines that ISI is working upon.
Isn't she a real patriot. Like many of Antonia's pet poodles, she also wants our country to forgo Kashmir to Terrorists. The same terrorists who have raped and killed lakhs of Hindus.
Look a little ahead in her Bio data and one notices that she has worked for ISI, not the Pakistani one. This one is 'Indian Social Institute'.
Nice sounding name, ain't it?
Well, it is an institute run by Jesuits. All the members of its governing body are of Abrahamic religion. Incidentally, it is the same institute, which was linked to the campaign for Binayak Sen.
No wonder that the Christian oranizations are celebrating the recognition of ISI which:
Keeping its Christian inspiration and following the Social teaching of the Catholic Church ISI is known for its pluralism...The recent spread of Hindu fundamentalism and discrimination against minorities led the ISI to undertake research and publish works
Well, keeping in with the trend being promoted by Antonia, in the scheme of pluralism, when Hindus are mentioned, it is always Hindu fundamentalism.
Oh! Did I forget 'Hindu Nationalists'?
We will hear a lot of this. In her article, she boasts of 'How we made US deny visa to Modi', she talks about nationalists:
Hindu nationalists perpetrated an event distinctive in the movements malevolent reach for a Hindu state. In 16 of Gujarat's 24 districts, 2,000 people, mostly Muslims
Notice that like other such 'liberals', she has liberally increased the number of Muslim victims from 794 (UPA govt offical release) to 2,000 and 'liberally' forgotten the Hindu women and children charred to death by Muslim mob and also missed the 294 (UPA govt released number) Hindus killed in the riots.
Also notice the choice of words: HINDU NATIONALISTS.
The terminology has been cleverly designed. Whenever a Hindu will talk about nationalism, his noble cause will be denounced as 'Hindu Nationalism'. That is how noble is twisted to be something not to be appreciated. They are hoping that with passage of time, the coordinated chorus will make nationalism a dirty word.
Another aspect is that Islam is Arabia centric, Christianity is Vatican, Rome or US centric, therefore it is only Hindus who feel the pain of creating Pakistan and Bangladesh out of our motherland by alien creeds. Hindus do not look out of their country to get spiritual or religious centers, therefore denigrating 'Hindu nationalism' serves the purpose of the proselytizing creeds.
Notice that she has the acumen to influence the most shrewd govt of the world to deny visa to Modi but is naive when it comes to those people who have been caught as ISI agents.
Also notice the pleasure she takes in being a part of the virulent campaign which succeeded in denying visa to an elected Chief Minister of our nation.
Her activities relating to Kashmir were not limited to interacting with ISI in seminars only, she was a part of numerous organizations working for internationalization of the issue. Surprisingly, she has very curious justification for focusing only on India occupied Kashmir. According to her organization called International People's tribunal on Human rights and Justice in Indian Administered Kashmir:
It is crucial to highlight the experience of militarization in Indian-administered Kashmir. A large body of scholarly work suggests that its structure and institutionalization over the last 60 years, has produced extreme consequences in the region. Further, these consequences have been exacerbated by repression of the struggles for self-determination of Kashmiri peoples, and the policies of realpolitik engaged by the international community. What are the present conditions that result from this history?
Exactly the line of the terrorists and ISI. And she says she did not know Fai's ISI connections. Like a retired Justice Rajinder Jaichand Sachar, Govt appointed interlocutor Padgaonkar and former editor of well known papers, Gautam Navalakha claim.
Also notice her concern for Kashmiri people, by which she does not mean the Budhists, Hindus or even Shia Muslims. But her concern vanishes for Hindus altogether.
Contrast her concern with the murder of 84 year old Swami Laxmananand in Orissa. In this article, written by her in Tehelka, she spews her venom on Hindu Nationalism:

Notice the contrast. Islamic terrorists in Kashmir have right to self determination but Hindutva has savagery. To be honest with her, she has shown a little bit of restraint in this article.
Like other such liberals, she is another one who appeared before USCIRF, an American government agency to tarnish the image of our country. In her deposition to USCIRF, she has used the words 'a male Hindu proselytizer' for slain Swami Lakshmanand Sarswati.
She has been really liberal with her hatred for Hindus and has used terms like:
The Tribunal was targeted by Hindutva, Hindu extremist, activists
A little down the line, in same deposition, she says:
I would also like to clarify that I am a secular person of Hindu descent and that my taking a position opposing Hindutva and Hindu nationalism is in no way in opposition to Hindus or Hinduism.We seem to be having a case of a full blown female Jaichand.
Remember John Dayal? Who is always hankering for reservations for dalit Christians. He is a close aide of Angana. For these rascals, conversions of Hindus are acceptable but when they want to convert back, it starts sticking up with these seculars. Feel her pain here:
It is Saraswati who pioneered the Hinduisation of Kandhamal since 1969. Activists targeted Adivasis, Dalits, Christians and Muslims through socio-economic boycotts and forced conversions (named ‘re’conversion, presupposing Adivasis and Dalits as ‘originally’ Hindus).
Remember how Britishers first started splitting the Hindu society by creating different schisms like Sikhs and Animists. Mahatma Gandhi kept on protesting this fragmentation of Hindu society but the Britishers persisted. They had a very clear objective:

Just replace British power to US power and you know the motives of the Johns and Anganas. She wants us to believe, like the Brits wanted that tribals or dalits are not Hindus.
Let us get back to Angana Chatterji. When it comes to Christian missionaries, her back flip is hilarious:
Christian leaders said that the church does not convert under duress or offer money in lieu of conversions. In the 1960s and 70s, when there was a thrust in conversions, Adivasis benefited through accessing health care, education and employment offered by Christian missionaries.
Aha! Church does not convert.
Her statement to a foreign body is actually the statement of Christian missionaries.
Now, what about the social service by Hindus:
Conscription into Hindu activism is coordinated through political reform, propaganda/thought control, cultural and religious interventions, developmental/social service and charitable work, sectarian health care, unionisation and revisionist education. Hindu communalists have reportedly inaugurated various trusts and branches of national and international institutions in Orissa to aid fund-raising, including, reportedly, the Friends of Tribal Society, Samarpan Charitable Trust, Sookruti, Yasodha Sadan and Odisha International Centre.
Is that a chameleon? The change of color is pretty catchy. No?
She has even more concerns. One of them is about the removal of ban on cow slaughter. The reason is also equally sinister:
The Orissa Prevention of Cow Slaughter Act, 1960 should also be repealed. It is utilised to target livelihood practices of economically disenfranchised groups, Adivasis, Dalits, Muslims, who engage in cattle trade and cow slaughter.
Now, if you want power and money from Christians, you have to speak their words. If the above mentioned are not enough, then there is more:
The draconian Orissa Freedom of Religion Act (OFRA), 1967, must be repealed...consenting converts to Christianity are repeatedly charged under OFRA
The bottom line is that the MNCs are eyeing the natural resources but the biggest corporate of the world, Church, is after our human resources. It always boils down to conversions.
Those are some of the activities of this Marxist. If one thinks them benign enough, then that would be a mistake. She is one of the most prominent faces in American circles and has been making considerable effect for the detriment of our nation's cause.
And she is not the only one.
