NO BEEF EATING IN HINDUISM

But even the ऋषि मुनि (Rishis and Munis) have been consuming not only meat but beef in the ancient times. In fact, beef was served with pride.

This is how a respectable Hindu gentleman responded when I said that Hinduism abhors all forms of violence. Further he said."Vegetarianism is a very recent phenomena or fad in Hinduism and we can track it to the time of कृष्ण (Krishn not Krishna), who being from a tribe of ग्वाला (milk men) promoted cow to be a sacred animal and talked about vegetarianism".

Now, if you combine the above argument with Darwin's theory of evolution, it starts making sense. Moreover, the gentleman, who gave the above explanation is a highly educated and trustworthy relative. My belief started to shake. Not that I have been a very religious man. I have rarely been to temple, ever since my maternal grandmother, whom everybody lovingly called माताजी died. She was the one who regularly visited the local temple and I as a kid would tag along her, holding her finger. The high notion of Hinduism probably had its roots in this relationship.

But here I was. About 25 years after her death, I was in two minds. May be she was just a superstitious lady. And an illiterate one. It was not that it would have made me accept meat eating as a good, healthy or acceptable practice. For me, it was more a question of ethics. I feel that no one, absolutely no one, has a right to kill a harmless animal and that to for something as mundane as taste of the tongue.

I had a belief, bordering on pride, that I belong to, and adhere to, the best moral and ethical practices, enshrined in the oldest surviving civilization of the world. Now, this belief and pride seemed to have been punctured and deflated.

I decided to check it out for my self. Procuring the sacred books was in itself an ordeal. But having done that, here is what I have found out. Before proceeding, let me tell you that since Veds predate कृष्ण by thousands of years and are accepted to be the instructions from इश्वर regarding the way humans should live.

Let us look at the verses in ऋग्वेद (Rigved) that talk about cows.

हिन्क्रिन्वंती वसुपत्नी वसूनां वत्समिच्छन्ति मनसाभ्यागात

दुहामश्विभ्यां  पायो अघ्न्येयं सा वर्द्ध्तान महते सौभगाय 

ऋग्वेद १:१६४:२७

It means:

Just as earth provides us with all the elements for a bountiful life, the motherly cow also provides us, it should not be killed. The word used here for cow is अघन्य i.e. the one not to be killed. The same term is used in Rigved 5:83:7

Then again in Atharv ved, we have the same term:

सहृदयं सांमन स्यमविद्वेषं कृणोमि  वः

अन्यो अन्यमभि हर्यत वत्सं जातमिवाघ्न्या 

अथर्व वेद ३:३०:१

It means:

Ishwar says that all must love each other just like a cow (never to be killed) loves her new born calf.

What about the nature of cow? Here it is.

गौरमीमेदनु वत्सं मिषन्तं मूर्द्धानाम हिन्अकृणोन्मात्वा उ

सृक्काणं घर्ममभि वावशाना मिमाति मायुं पयते पयोभिः 

ऋग्वेद १:१६४:२८

It means:
Just like a motherly cow follows her calf and caresses it lovingly, the earth on its celestial path provides us bliss.

The very first verse of Yajurved goes as:

ॐ इषे तवोजर्जे त्वा वायव स्थ देवो वः सविता प्राप्यातु श्रेष्ठतमाय कर्मण आप्यायघ्वमघ्न्याइन्द्राय भागं प्रजावतीरनमीवा अयक्ष्मा मा वस्तेन  ईशत माघ्शंसो  ध्रुवाअस्मिन गोपतौ स्यात ब्रह्मिर्यजमानास्य पशुन्पाही 

It is a prayer to the परमात्मा, the supreme being, which says that amongst us no thief, bandit or sinner should be born. Those animals like cows and horses, which are not violent by nature, should not be killed and be protected. 

Similar views are also in Atharv ved:

अनागोहत्या वै भीमा कृत्ये मा नो गामश्वं पुरुष वधी:

अथर्व वेद १०:१:२९

It can be translated as:

O violent tendency! killing innocent beings is a heinous sin. Do not kill men, horses and cows. Thus, killing of cows or horses has been equated to homicide. 

 

So, my माताजी was not a superstitious lady. It is we, who are surrounded by the creeds of greed which are anti nature, anti humanity and akin to perversions of all kinds.

Then, the question is, from where does the stupid idea of meat eating Hindu sages come?

The answer is a little complicated. In the last two thousand years, two meat eating creeds have arisen and dominated the globe. Christianity and Islam. Let us see, why I call them meat eating.

As with Hinduism, the key lies in the books of the creeds. Let us look at Bible. It asks its followers in very clear words to eat meat.

Whatsoever parteth the hoof, and is clovenfooted, and cheweth the cud, among the beasts, that shall ye eat.

- Leviticus, 11/3

So, all the ruminants, which will include cows, buffaloes, goats can be butchered and eaten. Similarily, the instructions about eating creatures living in water are also clear.

These shall ye eat of all that are in the waters: whatsoever bath fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, them shall ye eat.

- Leviticus, 11/9

The Bible permits  eating of birds and creepers also. Here it is

Yet these may ye eat of every flying creeping thing that goeth upon all four, which have legs above their feet, to leap withal upon the earth.

What does Bible say about eating Swines?

And the swine, though he divide the hoof, and be clovenfooted, yet he cheweth not the cud; he is unclean to you.

So, pork should not be eaten by Christians. Now, most of the Hindus do not know it but Quran, which is the guide book of Muslims has borrowed generously from Bible. Therefore, no surprises that pork is forbidden to Muslims also. Moreover, it also does not offer any compassion for the poor mute animals.

O People who Believe! Fulfil your words (agreements); the mute animals are made lawful for you (to eat) except what will be declared to you after this, but do not assume hunting as lawful when you are on the pilgrimage; indeed Allah commands whatever He wills.

Sheep, goats, camels, buffaloes,all non-predatory terrestrial animals, deer and bison, or non-domesticated, such as hedgehogs and moles, as well as domesticated fowl, such as pigeons, hens, turkeys, ducks and all non-predatory birds, such as sparrows, provided they are hunted or slaughtered using an approved method, as outlined earlier. All the insides of a slaughtered animal, including a foetus that has developed flesh.Meat of animals slaughtered by Jews or Christians.

Isn't the contrast striking?

On one side, we have a civilization which talks of protecting the non violent animals and cares, as well prays, for their well being. Not only human rights, but even animal rights are enshrined and secured in the holy scriptures.

On the other hand, are two creeds, arising from the same book which talks about butchering and eating them.

Then there is a deadlier enemy of Hinduism. It can be called Marxism or communism. The cunning of this devious ideology can be gauged from the fact that it has manufactured and propagated the lies like beef eating in Hinduism with such wickedness that a large section of Hindus believes such crap. It is this cunning ideology which has peddled butchery of chickens by giving it the innocuous sounding name of 'farming'.

What effect has it had on Hindus? Various surveys have put the figure between 30% - 42% of Indians being vegetarians. A Hindu specific survey will put the percentages a notch higher because today Indians include Muslims and Christians (most of them weaned away from Hinduism with such and other wicked lies) also.

So, the number of vegetarians in the holy land of sages has fallen to such a low number. 

Can the tide be turned? At least for the sake of poor mute animals.

The rise of vegans and vegetarianism in western countries is a good indication. I would consider these westerners more Hindu then a 'meat eating' Hindu who takes pride in imitating the गोरे लोग.

Are women mentally deficient?

We are told that, Tulsi Das, who is also said to have written a version of the great epic Ramayan (रामायण) has said that:

ढोर गवार शूद्र पशु नारी
ये सब ताड़न के अधिकारी

Loosely translated, it means that Illiterates, Lower castes, animals and women should be treated sternly.

Personally, I feel that it is a very demeaning statement for women and it is also the favorite stick in the hands of enemies of humanity to sneer at Hindu ideology. They have been trying to portray that Hindu religion treats women as inferior beings.

It is typical Goebellian propaganda to malign your opponent. One phrase has been plucked out of a vast ocean of literature, totally out of context, and pronounced so many times that it is accepted as truth. The above statement has been uttered by समुद्र (ocean) and in a conversation. But the apologists of creeds like communism, Islam and Christianity have tried to pass it off as the stance of Hinduism regarding women.

It is as true as the marxist propaganda that Amir Khusro was a gentle soul who invented Sitar (as if Devi Sarswati was empty handed before this monster invented Sitar).

Let us see, what the Veds (वेद) say about women.

सूयवसाद भगवती हि भूया अथो वयं भगवन्तः स्याम

अद्धि तृणं अघ्न्ये विश्वदानीं पिब शुद्धमुदकमाचरन्ती 

ऋग्वेद १:१६४:४०

It means:

O wise woman you are as wise as a cow (which should not be killed). You should be able to enjoy peace and bliss so that we are also able to live blissfully. Like a cow, who, by consuming pure water and grass, feeds her calf with pure milk for the well being of the calf, you should drink the liquid of knowledge and maternal giving nature and bring up your children by imparting them good knowledge and wisdom.

Let us look at the next verse (ऋचा):

गौरीर्मिमाय सलिलानी तक्षत्येकपदी द्विपदी सा चतुष्पदी

अष्टापदी नवपदी बभूवुषी सहस्राक्षरा परमे व्योमन

ऋग्वेद- १:१६४:४१

 

Woman who studies one ved, two veds, four veds or the Four veds and upveds, grammar and thousands of words, becomes renowned in the world, is best of all. Such a literate and well read woman, who is able to remove illiteracy and provide peace and bliss to the entire world.

And we were always told that women were not allowed to read the holy scriptures because they were considered inferior. I have here with me the history book for class XII, printed by NCERT. It is named 'Themes in Indian History', Part 2. It says:

This is exemplefied by the composition, compilation and preservation and Puranic texts in simple Sanskrit verse, explicitly meant to be accessible to women and Shudras, who were generally excluded from Vedic learning.

What a wicked way to distort the religion and its traditions. When I brought it to the notice of some of my students, their innocent question was; Why would someone be so wicked, so as to create hate for own religion?
I could not answer it at that time, because I had not studied Nehru by then. Now I know that he was actually a muslim and had not only deliberately put those men incharge of NCERT, who were anti hindu but also created institutes like JNU, AMU, National Institute for Education Planning and Administration (NIEPA) and Indian Council for Historical Research, which were infested with anti Hindu monsters. The first education minister was Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, who is called a nationalist. Reason. Majumdar was found to be critical of Congress at some places.

This Maulana was of the opinion that Hinduism is full of inequalities and Islam is the best religion. After Nehru, the misfortune of students of our nation was to continue. It was the turn of his daughter, who appointed another bigot, Nurul Hasan as the education minister. Then there was H.S. Khan, who was the incharge of history and sociology department of NCERT for more then 20 years. He was planted by Nurul Hasan. He held the opinion that India was civilized only when islam was introduced into Hindustan.

This H.S.Khan is the guy who ensured that Bhagat Singh, Chhatrapati Shivaji, Chandrashekhar Azad were portrayed as terrorists who opposed  nice rulers like Aurangzeb. Now, as far islam is concerned, the one universal book that is acceptable is Quran. Let us see what it says about women.

मर्दो का औरतों पर क़ाबू है क्योंकि (एक तो) ख़ुदा ने बाज़ आदमियों (मर्द) को बाज़ अदमियों (औरत) पर फ़ज़ीलत दी है और (इसके अलावा) चूंकि मर्दो ने औरतों पर अपना माल ख़र्च किया है पस नेक बख्त बीवियॉ तो शौहरों की ताबेदारी करती हैं (और) उनके पीठ पीछे जिस तरह ख़ुदा ने हिफ़ाज़त की वह भी (हर चीज़ की) हिफ़ाज़त करती है और वह औरतें जिनके नाफरमान सरकश होने का तुम्हें अन्देशा हो तो पहले उन्हें समझाओ और (उसपर न माने तो) तुम उनके साथ सोना छोड़ दो और (इससे भी न माने तो) मारो मगर इतना कि खून न निकले और कोई अज़ो न (टूटे) पस अगर वह तुम्हारी मुतीइ हो जाएं तो तुम भी उनके नुक़सान की राह न ढूंढो ख़ुदा तो ज़रूर सबसे बरतर बुजुर्ग़ है

Men are in charge of women, as Allah has made one of them superior to the other, and because men spend their wealth for the women; so virtuous women are the reverent ones, guarding behind their husbands the way Allah has decreed guarding; and the women from whom you fear disobedience, (at first) advise them and (then) do not cohabit with them, and (lastly) beat them; then if they obey you, do not seek to do injustice to them; indeed Allah is Supreme, Great.

Remember, according to Islam, Quran is the word of Allah and does not contain anything that is wrong. Thus every Muslim must believe every word of it.

Now, what about man-woman comparison in Veds.

समंजन्तु विश्वे देवाः समापो हृदयानि नौ

सम मातरिश्वा सं धाता समु देष्ट्री दधातु नौ

ऋग्वेद - १०:८५:४७

The meaning is:

All the wise men of the world! Look at us. We (husband and wife) are equal and identical like water. May our hearts be same. The elements, air, sun, saraswati may make our hearts alike.

And what about Christianity? Like Islam, they also have a single book, Bible. Those who do not believe in Bible are not Christians. Sample this:

Let your women keep silence in the churches; for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.”

And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.”

When it comes to Veds, the position of wife is illustrated as:

प्रबुद्ध्यस्व सुबुधा बुद्ध्यामाना दीर्घायुत्वाय शतशारदाय
गृहान गच्छ गृह पत्नी यथासो दीर्घ त आयु: सविता कृणोतु

अथर्ववेद - १४:२:७५
 
Which means:
Remain awake , as intelligent and alert woman , Enjoying full life of a hundred years.
Enter the house as its ideal mistress, May the Creator bestow on you a long life.

Now, let us look at Bible :

If a man marries a woman who becomes displeasing to him because he finds something indecent about her, and he writes her a certificate of divorce, gives it to her and sends her from his house, 2and if after she leaves his house she becomes the wife of another man, 3and her second husband dislikes her and writes her a certificate of divorce, gives it to her and sends her from his house, or if he dies, 4then her first husband, who divorced her, is not allowed to marry her again after she has been defiled. That would be detestable in the eyes of the Lord. Do not bring sin upon the land the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance.

Mathematics of Opportunistic Pathogens

The body count was Hindus killed 254 and Muslims killed 790.

When the home minister of Congress party released the data about the numbers of Muslims and Hindus killed, the man on the street took it with a pinch of salt. With the kind of politics practiced in India, one would assume that the numbers will be doctored. The effort would be to increase the number of Muslims killed and decrease those of the Hindu fatalities, to show that BJP is communal. It is a natural phenomena and perhaps BJP would try the reverse trick, if given a chance.

Like in every liberal society, we have our own share of parasites. They live, thrive and enjoy the freedom provided by our society and they take every opportunity to tarnish the image of the nation and its ethos. 

The contempt and audacity with which they go about their parasitic pursuits rarely come to light because like true parasites, they are hidden from the direct glare. In fact, in medical parlance, a term better then parasites is 'opportunistic pathogens'. This term is used for those bacteria, who survive within our body and generally for our betterment. It is a symbiotic relationship. But, in case of some disease or malfunctioning, they themselves become the cause of misery to the host, on whom they survived for generations. They become the cause of suffering for the very host, from who they derive and have been deriving the resources for their survival.

In this post, I am reproducing the statements and rants of some such persons for your convenience. In case, some of you have the inclination and time to go through the kind of crap they are permitted to write and publicize in the name of freedom of speech, the links of original sources have been provided.

In this article, the readers are requested to concentrate the mathematical part of these social butterflies and cockroaches.

The Article by Suzzane Arundhati Roy, who probably thinks that Booker prize has provided her a license to lie, titled The new American century, says:

Interestingly, when someone wrote a preview of one of her books, she asked them to be more careful because she felt that she had been misquoted. It was not to correct the hugely exaggerated numbers but to spew more venom on Ratan Tata.

Then we have this guy called Cedric prakash. Another of those champions of human rights, who find everything wrong with our nation and its traditions. Before we move to his mathematical wizardry, let us see how this guy thinks the Prime Ministers or an aspirant to the post of PM should think.

Modi cannot nurture prime ministerial dreams unless he is acceptable to the Western world.

That is right. He is such a patriotic soul that he has no belief in the Judicial system of our country and files his statement to US body. A WRITTEN TESTIMONY TO THE US COMMISSION ON INTERNATIONAL RELIGIOUS FREEDOM

With the above introduction, I now wish to make the following submissions to the Commission on International Religious Freedom of the United States:

that I would further like to submit that even today, apart from the fact that more than 2000 Muslims have been killed, about 600,000 have fled the State and almost 150,000 are still languishing in relief camps - there are no serious efforts being made by the Government of Gujarat to stop this ethnic cleansing. The twin fundamentals of security and justice are not being met. Efforts are being made to send the Muslim refugees away from the security of a camp. It is definitely not possible for them to go back to their homes. The only possibility is that they seek refuge in some already existing Muslim ghettos. This, in a way, will be the achievement of the current onslaught where a minority group is totally relegated to becoming a second class citizen and forced to live in areas and situations which could breed more violence.

If you think that he would change his word after the facts become public knowledge, you have not fathomed the depravity and willingness of these foreign stooges to undermine our nation. What he said in 2010 can be found here.

I realized that religion was being used to keep people divided and to create violence among communities. In Gujarat and in Ahmadabad, we have had several instances of violence that culminated with the massacre in 2002 that killed 2000 Muslims in our streets and villages; that had a powerful impact on my life.

This despite Modi being re elected by the mandate of the voters. That shows this pests respect for our democracy. I guess, his solution would be an American attack on Gujarat like on Iraq. Despite all this, the mathematical verdict is 

790 = 2000

If you think that lick spittles of Americans are limited, then meet one more guy with half Indian and half Firangi name, John dayal. Now, this guy has been obligingly put on Antonia Gandhi's National Integration Council. This lover of national integration also is on the list of beggars who went to USCIRF. Then we have one more such nationalist. He is tom tommed to be an eminent author. If you are not familiar with Praful Bidwai brand of nationalism, taste this:

One central issue here is what his government will do to secure justice for the victims of the 2002 Gujarat carnage in which 2,000 Muslims were butchered. Hardly anyone has been prosecuted by the state’s BJP-led government for the killings.

Another beauty about these human rights activists is that going by their versions, the 254 Hindus killed do not appear to have been humans.Thus another mathematical equation in the fashionable circles is

This perverted mathematics is not the only thread that binds these divisive elements, the other  common link is all of them have won one prize or the other. International prizes have already been there, there is a new element added. The modus operandi is simple: Pump in money into innocuously named NGOs and institute a prize. Indians have got that typical slave mentality that everyone who has won a prize is a noble soul.

A slave of West (Or white man? or Christianity?)

Take a look at the picture above. Look at the inflated chest of Cedric Prakash, receiving the prize 'Chevalier de la Legion d’ Honneur Award' from French ambassador. Do you feel disgusted? This is how one becomes 'eminent'. Curiously, Dr. Binayak Sen, has also received an award. It is called 'prestigious Paul Harrison award'. The year was 2004. It was given by 'Christian Medical College', Vellore, his own alma matter. This prize is given to those who work for the cause of the college. And what is the vision and mission. 

Well, the vision is

Does that solve the mystery of the entire section with vested interests going overboard about one doctor incarcerated in a corner of third world, ignoring the human rights violations in Kashmir, Afghanistan, Iraq and a hundred other places?

More Fathers who rape

Here I present to my readers another of the confessions from the church records in the book 'A Masterkey to Popery', written by Fr. Anthony Gavins. 

This confession was proposed to the academy, by father Gasca, a Jesuit, and member of the academy. before I proceed with the content of the confession, let me explain to the uninitiated, the 'academy' mentioned here.

The name is moral academy. It consisted of 20 ecclesiastical members and one president. Its aim was to create a forum, where the fathers could discuss the intricacies of the confessions during their experiences.

Here is how the confession has been presented.

The confession is of a woman of thirty-three years of age,

MOST reverend and learned fathers, I have thought fit not to trouble you with the methodical way of a private confession, I heard last Sunday, but to give you only an account of the difficult cafe in it. The case is this :

A woman of thirty-three years of age came to confess, and told me, that from sixteen years of age, till twenty four, she had committed all sorts of lewdness, only with ecclesiastical persons, having in every convent a Fryar, who, under the name of a cousin, did use to visit her : 

Yes. That is right. ecclesiastical persons.

Clergy - The body of people ordained for religious service.

So, this woman was performing 'all kinds of lewdness' with persons ordained for religious service, in churches commonly called fathers or brothers.

lewdness -

1.a. Preoccupied with sex and sexual desire; lustful.

b. Obscene; indecent.

2. Obsolete Wicked.

So, she performed 'all kinds of sexual, lustful, obscene and indecent behavioiur' with persons of the church, who are supposed to perform religious duties.

And this lewdness is not limited to one church. She had such obliging fathers in all the churches in her vicinity. There are no exceptions. She could find such obliging fathers in all the convents to perform lewdness. In the post fathers who rape, we read about confessions of a father telling us that the entire clergy used to rape and blackmail women of their parish and here we have a confession which talks about lewdness in every church. If I stretch my imagination a little bit, it presents a very lewd picture of churches.

If this lady was so generous with her resources, she might have got something in return from the ecclesiastical persons for this lewd partnership. Let us read further, the confession tells us-

And notwithstanding the multiplicity of cousins, she did live so poorly, that she was forced to turn procuress at the same time for new cousins and that she had followed that wicked life till thirty-two years of age : 

Here the word procuress is something which is not used frequently nowadays. Here is what the dictionaries tell us about this word:

procuress - a woman who obtains women for the purpose of prostitution

So, the fathers, not only used her lewdly but also forced her to penury of such a level that she supplied more women to these ecclesiastical persons.

But if you think, that is enough of freakishness, you have got one more thing coming.

That last year she dreamed that the devil was very free with her, and these dreams or visions continued for a long while, she found herself with a child, and she protests that she knew no man for fourteen months before: She is delivered of a boy, and she says that he is the devil's son, and that her conscience is so troubled about it, that if I do not find some way to quiet her mind, she will lay violent hands upon herself. I asked her leave to consult the case, with a promise to resolve it next sunday, Now I ask your wise advice upon this case. 

The assembly decided to look into the matter and one of the fathers was appointed for the purpose.

Which being approved of by the whole assembly, he did it the next morning, and in the afternoon, being an extraordinary meeting, he came and said, Most reverend and learned fathers, the woman was so strongly possessed with such a vision that she has made public the case among the neighbors, and it is spread abroad; upon which the inquisitors did send for the woman and the maid, and this has discovered the whole story, viz, that father Conchillos, a Victorian friar was in love with the woman, but she could not endure the sight of him: That he gained the maid and by that means he got into her house every night, and the maid putting some Opium into her mistress's supper, he fell fast asleep, and the said father did lie with her six nights together. So the child is not the son of the devil, but of father Conchillos. 

Can you believe it? The father bribed (or blackmailed) the maid to  knock her employer unconscious so that this father could rape her, every night, impregnate her. That is the level up to which the fathers can fall to.He wanted to have sex with a woman who did not even like to look at her.

Perhaps it is the celibacy which turns them into sex crazy maniacs and double faced monsters. For the public they have to act like figures of mercy and behave in the most appropriate manner and inwards the natural drive makes them such perfect hypocrites that they are the proverbial wolves in sheep's clothing.

Fathers who rape

First of all, let me admit that I did not plan to write this post. It is one of those 'spur of the moment' posts. The trigger to this post was an article which you will find here. Those who would not bother to read the entire article, I am writing the sentence which prompted me to log this post.

Priests in many congregations lead dedicated lives, but there is a certain section, very large in number, which is spoiling the name of the priesthood.

This former church father is lamenting about very large number of them spoiling the name of priesthood. How? This is what he says:

If a woman has financial problems and is desperate, she will approach the priest,” says Shibu. “He will help her, but ask for sex in exchange. She gives in because she has no option.” Similarly, priests take advantage of widows, troubled women, and nuns.

The author named Shibu, is a former father in a church with an experience of (according to the article) 24 years in the congregation. So, it is an insiders information, therefore can be trusted. Of course, the parties who will feel threatened by these revelations will give their excuses and implant ulterior motives for this 'malign campaign, from one of 'theirs'.

What it tells us is that the christian fathers, with all their smiling faces and white attire, are like sex starved perverts, who will not spare a woman, who is at their mercy. Still, they talk of mercy, all the time. Not all of them, but a very large number.

The questions that might pop up in our minds are - Is it a one off chance, happening in this age of materialism? Is it just a 'hate site' having a hidden agenda? Is it a propaganda by Islamists or Jews or Buddhists or Hindus or Taoists or ....?

This is the year 2010, according to the christian calendar. I felt the goosebumps while reading the article, that uneasy feeling of deja vu.The reason for this feeling was the account I had read last year, while studying christianity.

I am talking of a book titled 'Master key to Popery'. This book contains incidents taken from the records of church, by a former catholic father. Sample this.

I do not write this out of any private end, to blame all sorts of confessors; for there are some who, according to the principles of their religion, do discharge their duty with exactness and purity.

Further, about these persons who discharge their duty with purity, he writes:

I knew some of these exemplary men, but a very few. 

Firstly, about the dissimilarity.

This book contains incidents, as far back as 1710. Full three centuries ago. Apart from this, the names of fathers and victims may be different but the general tenor remains the same.

Did you notice the similarities in the two accounts separated by a gap of three hundred years? The common feature is that the number of christian fathers, who have not acted as blackmailers for sex have been very few.

Does it appear far fetched?

This skepticism is expected from general public which has been deliberately kept ignorant about some ugly aspects. In the west, every now and then, sex scandals keep appearing in the media but not here. Read on and you will realize what I am driving at.

The name of the author of the book is Fr. Anthony Gavins. He has mentioned numerous confessions, which I will present before the readers. One of these confessions is by a father on death bed. To hide the identity of the man, his name has been given as Don Paulo in the year 1710.

I have frequented the parish club twelve years -- We were only six parish priests in it; and there we did consult and contrive all the ways to satisfy our passions. Everybody had a list of the handsomest woman, remarkable for her beauty, in another's parish; the priest of her parish sent for her to his own house; and having prepared the way for wickedness, the other had nothing to do but to meet her there, and fulfill his desires; and so we have served one another these twelve years past. Our method has been to persuade the husbands and fathers not to hinder them any spiritual comfort; and to the ladies, to persuade them to be subject to our advice and will; and that in so doing, they should have liberty at any time to go out on pretense of communicating some spiritual business to the priest. And if they refused to do it, then we should speak to their husbands and fathers not to let them go out at all; or, which would be worse for them, we should inform against them to the holy tribunal of inquisition. And by these diabolical persuasions they were at our command, without fear of revealing the secret.

So, what are we talking about here? We are talking about something not by a disgruntled lunatic but from the records of church, presented by a father. And we are talking about all the fathers of a church, serving each other. I always thought that such acts are performed by pimps and brothel madams. It is not one or two individuals but all the fathers of the church. I would call it organized crime syndicate. As they say:

इस हमाम में सभी नंगे हैं.

Try to imagine a handsome woman, called by a father, to his residence. Now, try to picture him convincing or ordering this woman to present herself to another father. Imagine the second father, on whose demand, the hapless woman has been called, removing his hat, cross, cassock and the rest. And also imagine the smile on his face.

If you are a little perplexed that I am calling the woman hapless as she could always have told someone, may be her husband or father or brother, then relax. Just learn a little about Inquisition, with a capital I. I intend to write about it in subsequent posts. 

Now, how many women did these fathers rape and present on a platter to other fathers. The answer is coming your way. The dying father tells us:

I have spared no woman of my parish, whom I had a fancy for, and many other of my brethren's parishes; but I cannot tell the number. 

He must have had a blast of a time. Raping thousands of women. The poor Jihadi terrorists, they blow themselves up for 72 virgins in Jannat. Our loving fathers, neither have to blow themselves up nor get them branded as terrorists, and still get carnal pleasures to the fullest. What a nice racket? 

 That is not all. He tells us about the number of his children.

I have sixty nepotes alive, of several women. 

So, he has fathered sixty children. And we always thought that they are celibate. Is this why they are called fathers.

Let us get on with the confession.

But my principal care ought to be of those that I have by the two young women I keep at home, since their parents died. Both are sisters, and I had by the eldest two boys, and by the youngest, one; 

Well, Well. Two sisters, orphaned by the death of their parents are sent in the safe custody of a celibate father. He is the supposed shelter provider. The price that he extracted from these girls is children. His own little Harem or seraglio. Who else is in this harem? Read on.

and the one I had by own sister is dead.

So, this father did father a child from his own sister. What have we got here; Blackmail, women trafficking, rape and now incest. All in the family.

Where this father says that he left no woman of his parish, I forgot to mention that he has disclosed in his confession that there were 1600 families in his parish. That means thousands of women to pick and choose from.

Apart from raping the women of all these families, he tells that he has defrauded most of them and amassed huge wealth. Now, add embezzlement also to the list of crimes.

To round off the list, add 60 abortions for which this father was instrumental.

This behaviour is in direct resonance with the behaviour unmasked by the former priest in the above mentioned link.

The more the things appear to change, the more they remain same.

A License to lie

A mob surrounded the house of former Congress MP Iqbal Ehsan Jaffri. His phone calls to the Director-General of Police, the Police Commissioner, the Chief Secretary, the Additional Chief Secretary (Home) were ignored. The mobile police vans around his house did not intervene. The mob broke into the house. They stripped his daughters and burned them alive. Then they beheaded Ehsan Jaffri and dismembered him. Of course it’s only a coincidence that Jaffri was a trenchant critic of Gujarat Chief Minister, Narendra Modi, during his campaign for the Rajkot Assembly by-election in February

Personally, I feel that the most nefarious and fiendish crime which can be perpetrated by a human being is rape. Therefore, stripping women, which is just short of the act is also something I find unforgivable. The graphic details and careful choice of words does have the tendency to accentuate the gravity of the offence.

Now just revisit the item and go over the bold part:

They stripped his daughters and burned them alive.

Since the article appears in English magazine, it must be true. It becomes all the more newsworthy if a Booker Prize winner and glamorous lady like Arundhati Roy is the author. The classical symbiotic arrangement; both increasing the news value of each other.

If you have not guessed so far, suzzane Arundhati Roy is talking about the Godhra riots.

The exact number of these daughters is not given in the item but the plural use of the term ensures us that there were at least two. So, let us ask the son of the hapless killed MP, thus the brother of the victim daughters who have been humiliated and burnt alive. His name is T.A. Jafri. This is what he told the 'Asian Age':

Among my brothers and sisters, I am the only one living in India. And I am the eldest in the family. My sister and brother live in the US. I am 40 years old and I have been born and brought up in Ahmedabad

What did he say? He says he has only one sister and she is alive and kicking in the land of opportunities. I am taking a little digression from the article but I think that in the last 64 years, if some place has to be labeled as 'Land of opportunities for scoundrels", then we will be a front runner. Back to the article.

Look at the audacity of this guy! He is trying to contradict a Booker Prize winner. Definitely such an honorable and beautiful recipient can not be wrong. She must be right. In fact, if any one of you has a doubt about the number of your siblings, you know whom to talk to about the real numbers. Did someone ever give her an idea to place an ad in the yellow pages. It will be something like -

"Completing your family tree. Do not trust your parents. We are here."

Daughters! Stripped! Burnt alive!

Brilliant imagination. And I always thought that the creator of 'Tom and Jerry' has been the most imaginative. Some of my friends, who know how much I appreciate her, try to put venom in my ears saying that her aim was to defame 'that Hindu bigot Narendra Modi' because she is a deadly combination of christianity (Suzzane Arundhati Roy), Marxism (Brinda Karat) and media (Prannoy Roy). The first two forces are anti humanity and the third is in their control. But the secularist that I am, I turn a deaf ear to this venom.

What is funny is that this Jafri guy, whose sisters were supposed to have been stripped and burnt alive had given the details of his siblings on 02/05/2006. i.e. four days before the write up of our 'Goddess of small truths' appeared. Had she not been discussing the Gandhian values with Mahatma Syed Ahmed Shah Geelani and अहिंसावादी Yaseen Malik, she might have come to know about the mix up. 

One must bear in mind that those who are in such peaceful company are not only intellectually sharp but also honest. That is why she apologized promptly. Her prompt clarification came about three weeks later, on 27/05/2002. Here it goes:

There is a factual error in my essay Democracy: Where’s she when she’s at home? (May 6). In describing the brutal killing of Ehsan Jaffri, I have said that his daughters had been killed along with their father. It has subsequently been pointed out to me that this is not correct. Eyewitness accounts say that Ehsan Jaffri was killed along with his three brothers and two nephews. His daughters were not among the 10 women who were raped and killed in Chamanpura that day.

 Naughty girl. Still trying to hold the upper hand. She further tells us about her sources. These are even more interesting.

I apologise to the Jaffri family for compounding their anguish. I’m truly sorry.

My information was cross-checked from two sources. Time magazine (March 11) in an article by Meenakshi Ganguly and Anthony Spaeth; and “Gujarat Carnage 2002: A Report to the Nation” by an independent fact-finding mission which included K.S. Subrahmanyam, former IGP Tripura, and S.P. Shukla, former finance secretary. I spoke to Mr Subrahmanyam about the error. He said his information at that time came from a senior police official.

Had someone hammered it into me that TIME is a prestigious magazine. Just like OUTLOOK. Notice how she passes the buck onto two experienced guys. They further talk about a senior official. This is a report to the nation. हे राम!

In the same illustrious essay, our eminent author had decorated another gem. It stated

Last night a friend from Baroda called. Weeping. It took her fifteen minutes to tell me what the matter was. It wasn’t very complicated. Only that Sayeeda, a friend of hers, had been caught by a mob. Only that her stomach had been ripped open and stuffed with burning rags. Only that after she died, someone carved ‘OM‘ on her forehead

I have read more ghoulish details before, therefore, I was not shocked by reading this news item but was angry nonetheless. What kind of pervert would do that to a dead body. Carving a word, which is considered to be sacred by so many people on the forehead of a victim is as barbaric and as rabid as it can get.

So, the picture to be painted has been given the final touches by ॐ!

If you have to tarnish the image of the oldest surviving civilization, can there be a better way? You don't get Booker for nothing. Being a secular, it is our duty to denigrate everything Hindu and clap with glee when some such act is reported with the air of 'I told you so'. The advantage is you do not have to worry about a fatwa. On the contrary, you are welcomed in the fashionable circles.

But one such bigoted Hindu named Balbir Punj was moved after reading the plight. Since he has been a Rajya Sabha member, he thought of bringing out the truth. In this case, since a friend of Suzzane Arundhati Roy was a party, thus she could have pin pointed the victim, which, could help the law enforcement authorities to proceed.

Did she help?

Do not be so naive. She said that the Police had no authority to question her. Of course, she is right.

Helping a Hindu bigot to bring justice in a state ruled by another bigot, NEVER. 

Remember Sayeeda, the victim of the story?

She was a figment of fertile imagination of a secularist, just like stripped and burnt alive daughters of a hapless Muslim.

Do you get the picture?

This is known as generating 'atrocity literature' which can be used to tarnish the image of Sanatan Dharm. Who is going to cross check the facts? Most of the people will believe any balderdash dished out to them.

Noakhali riots: Truth sacrificed

“Worst of all was the plight of women. Several of them had to watch their husbands being murdered and then be forcibly converted and married to some of those responsible for their death. Those women had a dead look. It was not despair, nothing so active as that. It was blackness…….the eating of beef and declaration of allegiance to Islam has been forced upon many thousands of as the price of their lives” 

This is what Miss Muriel Leister, member of a relief committee sent to Noakhali wrote on 6th November, 1946,(V.V. Nagarkar – Genesis – p 446).  The words have an eerie similarity to the outburst of Annie Beasant after the moplah riots but belong to an entirely different holocaust. These riots had started about a month earlier in Muslim dominated twin districts of Noakhali and Tipperah. Since the Muslim League government was architect of the riots, news was suppressed for as long as possible.

Amrita Bazar Patrika on 23/10/46 reported, 

“For the 13th day today, about 120 villages in Ramganj, Lakshmipur, Raipur, Begumganj and Senbag thanas (police stations) in Noakhali district with a Hindu population of 90,000 and nearby 70,000 villagers in Chandpur and Faridganj thanas in Tippera (Comilla) district remained besieged by hooligans. Death stares the people of these areas in their face and immediate rushing of supply to these areas with the help of military, who alone could do it, would save the lives of these people, most of whom have been without food for the last few days.”

The riots had started on 10/10/1946, but the ML government acknowledged the fact only on 15/10/1946, a criminal delay of five days in which thousands of lives could have been saved and women could have been saved from being raped by gangs. Today, after six decades the present secular governments have gone even further. The deganga riots have gone totally unreported in main stream media.

On 16/10/1946, The Statesman reported:

“In an area of about 200 sq miles the inhabitants surrounded by riotous mobs, are being massacred, their houses being burnt, their womenfolk being forcibly carried away and thousands being subjected to forcible conversion. Thousands of hooligans attacked the villages, compelled them (Hindus) to slaughter their cattle and eat. All places of worship in affected villages have been desecrated. The District Magistrate and the Police Superintendent of Noakhali took no step to prevent it.”

 Noakhali and Tipperah (Comilla)

The two neighbouring districts are present in the present day Bangladesh and were a part of Bengal before partition of our motherland. The province of Bengal was under the rule of Muslim League. The league had chosen these districts to teach Hindus a lesson. This district was chose because of its more then 80% Muslim population and it was far removed from media glare of Calcutta. Likewise the neighbouring Tipperah district had more then 77% Muslim population.


The unknown riots

By the year 1946, the freedom struggle had been totally hijacked by media savvy and opportunistic politicians. These were lick spittles of the british and for them the acts of Martyrs like Udham Singh, Bhagat Singh, Ashfaqullah Khan were actions of misguided youths and they hoped that 'that it will not have far-reaching repercussions on political future of India'. To them the political future of India meant their own political future. Neta Ji Subhash Chander Bose, Veer Savarkar and Shyama Prasad Mukherjee were sidelined.

These opportunists were good event managers and were able to get the control of turncated India on a silver platter.

Most of the modern day Indians do not know what happened few months before the partition of our motherland. The reason is the systemic whitewashing of our history to hide the horrendous blunders of so called freedom fighters. These include the khilafat movement, quit India movement, the direct action day and noakhali riots and the horrors of partition.

The Beginning

A meeting was conducted by ML leader Gulam Sarowar, an ex-M.L.A. on 10th October at Begumganj Bazar.  He gave an inflammatory strong anti-Hindu speech by quoting verses of Quran exhorting to kill the Kafirs and idolators during the presence of the local Police Inspector who kept mum.  After the meeting came to an end the agitated and excited Muslim mob in great numbers attacked the Hindu shops in the market and set them to fire after looting. Another group went to the house of local Hindu leader and landlord Surendra Kumar Bose. He was killed very cruelly and then the mob set to fire his office and palace. Hundreds of Hindus, men women and children had taken shelter there after fleeing from various places. Most of them were burnt alive. Those who could luckily escape the fire of the burning house were chopped down by the awaiting people outside. 

The Valiant Warrior

The last gang went to siege the house of Noakhali District Bar President and renowned Hindu intellectual of Bengal, Rajendra Lal Roy in Karpara village. But he was a real hero. Along with his sons and brothers he united the local Hindus and gave a strong resistance. The attackers fled for their life. Angered at being pushed back they attacked the local Hindu villages, burnt them and desecrated the temples. Meanwhile Mr. Roy had informed the Police station and sought protection but blatantly denied. He sent his sons to see if there were any escape route. They returned and described the hopeless situation as the village roads were patrolled by armed Muslims and all boats were stopped from plying on the river. However they pledged to each other that they will fight to the end. Next day morning at 8’ o clock a larger crowd came to attack but the Hindus under the able leadership of Mr. Roy stood up once again and fired from guns and threw stones and bricks like rain to drive them away. Still no government relief came but their ammunition of the besieged Hindus were used up! Next the ferocious mob at being resisted again and again came under the personal command of Gulam Sarowar and first attacked Mr. Roy and killed him mercilessly. All others panicked and stopped fighting. Then one by one his relatives and the other Hindus who had taken refuge there were butchered

The severed head of Rajendra Lal Roy was gifted to Gulam Sarowar in a silver plate. At Gulam’s order his two trusted lieutenants took the two beautiful daughters of Mr. Roy as the booty 

(Binoy Bhusan Ghosh – Two Nation Theory and Bengalee – p 68). 

Only the youngest brother of Mr. Roy, Professor M.L. Roy escaped the carnage as he was in a Kolkata college and said: 

“Muslims wanted to convert whole Noakhali into Islam so they targeted first the Hindu leaders who could offer some resistance. The cause of death of my entire family is only due to it” 

(Amrita Bazar Patrika – 23/10/46). 

Bengal Press Advisory Committee in its report of October, 1946 mentioned all these and other horrible conditions of Hindus in eastern Bengal after the murder of Mr. Roy. After the Hindus became leaderless the torture on them increased to boundless proportions. In Panchgao village of Begumganj police station, lived a Brahmin family of four brothers. On the day of Kurbani a cow was sacrificed on their temple and the beef (forbidden for Hindus) was sent to them. The family members in pain and agony started vomiting. But the Muslims cursed them and asked how the kafirs could reject their sacrificial beef to Allah. They were taken for a village judgement by the Moulavi of the local mosque who was however very liberal and fined Rs 250 (a large amount in those days) to settle the matter.  B.P.A.C got those information by searching the diaries in various police stations there. For ensuring safety B.P.A.C did not mention the names of many of the victims. 

Beasts unleashed

Phani Bhusan Sur was one of the few from Noakhali who could escape and took shelter in Bangabasi College at Kolkata. He said that in his Hajiganj village the riots were lead by Peshawari Muslims. Each had long swords with them and under their direction the murders, loot and rapes were organized 

(Amrita Bazar Patrika – 22/10/46). 

Journalists back from Noakhali reported that, 

“the heads of miscreants were Ex-servicemen and they organized the raids in military fashion………. The people knew how to dig up roads and cut communication” 

(Amrita Bazar Patrika – 19/10/46). 

Professionalism in its highest virtue was manifested in Noakhali. “So that Hindus couldn’t escape, the roads were dug, boats used to form barricade on canals and rivers and through which areas there were any slight chance of escape armed Muslims were at guard” 

(V.P. Menon – Transfer of Power – p 322). 

Mr. Simpson, I.C.S wrote on the incidents that

“it has been known from authentic sources that at a place 400 and at another 300 women were mass raped by Muslims. To the Muslim crowd, violation of the honour of Hindu women meant the exposure of the most protected aspect of the Hindu identity and religion”

(Binoy Bhusan Ghosh – Two Nation Theory and Bengalee – p 64)

“A little refugee girl of Ramganj thana told me the incident. On10th October morning a crowd came to their house and demanded Rs. 500 as subscription for Muslim League and threatened that if their demand was not met the entire family will be butchered. Fearing life her father paid the huge amount. After sometime the crowd came again with more people and when a certain guardian of the family, a lawyer tried to calm them he was beheaded before saying anything. Then they killed the oldest member, the grandfather of the girl. The father of the girl was next laid on the dead body of his grandpa and when they were about to kill him her grandmother jumped on his body and begged mercy. But this angered the mob and they hit the old lady on the head with a rod and threw her unconscious body away. The terrorized girl by then was standing and looking on but now to save her father rushed out with her jewelry and Rs. 400 which was at home and putting all on the hands of the killer pleaded to leave her father. The Viceroy when asked to intervene, refused to do so and when informed about the plight of Hindu women, responded that:

“Large scale abduction of Hindu women (by Muslims) was quite natural since Hindu women were more handsome than Muslim women.” 

 (Gandhi, his life and his thought, pp. 286)

When the correspondent of 'Amrit Bazaar Patrika' S.L.Ghosh reached noakhali, he reported:

"The horror of the Noakhali outrage is unique in modern history in that it was not a simple case of turbulent members of the majority community (Muslims) killing off helpless members of the minority Hindu community, but was one whose chief aim was mass conversion, accompanied by loot, arson and wholesale devastation... No section of the Hindu community has been spared, the wealthier classes being dealt with more drastically. Abduction and outrage of Hindu women and forcible marriages were also resorted. The slogans used and the methods employed indicate that it was all part of a plan for the simultaneous establishment of Pakistan."

The earlier experiment of Muslim League in Calcutta in the form of the 'direct action' day, started on 16th August, 1946 had failed as the Hindus were able to retaliate, despite the state machinery of the League government clandestinely helping its Muslim goons. Learning from this experiment, Noakhali was chosen because it had an overwhelming majority of more then 80% of Muslims. Again to quote from Anand Bazaar Patrika:

“The four days’ delay in receiving the news indicates at once the magnitude of preparations of the lawless elements as well as the criminal inefficiency of the administration machinery. It took ten days, fraught with horror, disgrace and torture for nearly two lakhs of Hindus for the Army to reach the neighbourhood of disaster, another ten days for them to move into the inner fringe of the disturbed area, and over a month to comb the interior of the devastated countryside."

Acharya Kriplani, the president of Congress, who went to noakhali to assess the situation, after a few days of the outbreak reported; 

“Next morning (October 22, 1946) we visited the interior of one of the affected areas. The place was Charhaim. Charhaim village and the surrounding areas are occupied by Namasudras (scheduled castes) numbering about 20,000. It was completely destroyed. Most of the houses were burnt. People were living in sheds, built from the ruins of their houses. All their property had been looted. Cash, ornaments, utensils and clothes, and cattle also, had been taken away by the raiders. All the males and females had only the clothes they were wearing. They had no food to eat. Their condition was pitiable in the extreme. There had been cases of murder, but it was not possible during the short time at our disposal to ascertain the number of the killed. Cases of abduction were reported to us. Even after looting and arson the villagers were obliged to embrace Islam; they had to perform ‘Namaz’ and recite the ‘Kalma’……… All the images of the houses were broken and temples looted and destroyed. The conch-shell bangles of women and vermillion marks, signs of their married life, were removed.” This was a fairly representative area.

 Acharya Kripalani concluded in his report that:

1. The attack on the Hindu population in the districts of Noakhali and Tipperah was previously arranged and prepared fro. It was deliberate, if not directly engineered by ML. It was a direct result of ML propaganda. the prominent league leaders had a large hand in it.
2. The authorities had warnings about what was coming. The warnings were conveyed to them orally and in written by prominent Hindus in the area concerned.
3. The Muslim officials connived at the preparations and a few encouraged. There was a general belief among the Mussalmans that the government would take no action if anything was done against the Hindus.
4. The modus operandi was for the Muslims to collect in batches of hundeds and sometimes thousands and to march to Hindu villages or Hindu houses in mixed population. They first demanded subscriptions for the ML and sometimes for the Muslim victims of the Calcutta riots. These enforced subscriptions were heavy, sometimes amounting to ` 10,000 and more. Even after the subscriptions were paid, the HIndu population was not safe. The same or successive crowd appeared on the scene later an looted the Hindu houses. The looted houses in most of the cases were burnt.  Sometimes before a house was looted, the inmates were asked to embrace Islam. However, even conversion did not give immunity against loot and arson. The slogans raised by the attacking Muslim crowds were those of the ML, such as 'लीग जिंदाबाद', 'पाकिस्तान जिंदाबाद', लड़ के लेंगे पाकिस्तान', 'मार के लेंगे पाकिस्तान'('league Zindabad', 'Pakistan Zindabad', Larhke lenge Pakistan, 'Marke lenge Pakistan')
5. All those who resisted were butchered. Sometimes they were shot, for the rioters had a few shot-guns with them. Sometimes people were killed even when there was no resistance offered or expected I have on record cases where 50 to 60 members of one family were brutally murdered. Some families lost all their male members. 
6. (Is about the description and habitat of those who indulged in these crimes.) 
7. Even after looting, arson and murder the Hindus in the locality were not safe unless they embraced Islam. The Hindu population therefore to save themselves had to embrace Islam en masse……… All the images of gods in Hindu houses were destroyed and all the Hindu temples of the affected area were looted and burnt. 
8. There have been cases of forcible marriages. There have been cases of abduction. 
9. For obvious reasons it was not possible for me to ascertain the cases of rape. But women complained to Mrs. Kirpalani of having been roughly handled, their conch-shell bangles, the symbol of their married life, having been broken and vermillion marks removed. At one place they were thrown on the ground by the miscreants who removed their vermillion marks with the toes of their feet.”

14. The police did not function during the riots. They are doing merely patrol duty now. They say that they had and have no orders to fire except in self-defence. The question of defending themselves never arose, because they did not interfere with the rioters.

“The areas visited had already been devastated and all that I could see were burnt houses and helpless Hindu villagers whether converted or not.” Scouting any suggestion that the trouble may be economic the Acharya added, 

“Not a single rich Muslim house had been looted. To me it appeared to be absolutely communal and absolutely one-sided.” 

The Congress Working Committee meeting came soon after at Delhi, and its resolution on East Bengal contained the following observations: 

“Reports published in the press and statements of public workers depict a scene of bestiality and medieval barbarity that must fill every decent human being with shame, disgust and anger. “

 British correspondent of The Statesman remarked, 

“Experience of the second world war has made my nerve quite strong. But even war is not such barbaric. It is middle age type insanity. And it was given a horrible shape”

The Hindu retaliation and the Political chameleons

When Shyama Prasad Mukherjee urged Nehru on 18/10/1946 to intervene at Noakhali, explaining that the police was not helping the victims, his demand was rejected under the pretext that law and order was a state subject. As a result the carnage of hapless Hindus continued for months.

The Bengal government tried its best to hide the carnage and ultimately when the news came out, the nation was shocked. On 29/10/1946, major newspapers announced that on learning the atrocities in Noakhali, Hindus and Sikhs in Bihar retaliated and started paying back the Muslims in the same coin. Now, the same Nehru, came to Bihar along with Liaqat Ali (who became the first premier of Pakistan) and started threatening the Hindus in his 'peace' speeches. He said,

"Some people believe they are taking revenge for atrocities in East Bengal. It was bad enough. Culprits must be punished immediately. The government had to follow such a course by firing machine guns and bombing the people. No government could tolerate such lawlessness. ” 

Just 25 days earlier, the same Nehru was talking of not intervening into state matters but now had changed his colours like a chameleon.


Today, his great grand son, uses the same forked tongue in defaming Hindu organisations. Men of Security forces are getting killed at the hand of Islamic fanatics but that will never invite a statement condemning 'Islamic terror' or 'Green terror'.

How could Gandhiji 'our apostle of non violence' be left behind in this magnum opus. After all he was a veteran of encashing such religious sentiments since the time of khilafat riots, which led to the petition of malabar ladies to lady reading.

On this very day, i.e. 29/10/1946, he had arrived in Calcutta to express his solidarity to the sufferers of Bengal riots. He was planning to visit Noakhali, probably for the benefit of media but on hearing the trouble in Bihar, he immediately abondoned his visit to Noakhali and instead reached Bihar. According to Kripalani, he had faith that Hindus would listen to his words and stop attacking Muslims. He did not stop the government from using force in the name of non-violence. Rather he asked the center and provincial government to do everything they could do to control the situation. (J.B. Kripalani - Gandhi, His Life and Thought - p 260). 

Contrast this with what he had done earlier when Hindus were being butchered and their women and daughters gang raped. On 24th October at Dalit meeting in Harijan Colony in Delhi a large procession of Hindu Mahasabha approached Gandhi to take steps to prevent Hindu genocide in Noakhali and elsewhere in eastern Bengal. But he rejected the demand as usual citing that there would be unnecessary ‘blood spill’ if Muslims were to be resisted! So Mahatma – the true one advised, “To get killed, but not to kill” (Amrita Bazar Patrika – 25/10/46). 

If the readers are wondering as to why such a major tragedy has not come to light, they should thank Nehru and subsequent Congress governments. Ignoring world renowned and respected historians like R.C.Majumdar, all educational institutions like NCERT & ICHR have been given to Marxists and Muslims like Romila Thapar, Irfan Habib, Gopal Krishan and R.S.Sharma. Their common qualification is their hatred for Hindu dharm and everything that it stands for.
