Binayak Sen: Justice Denied?

This is in continuation of my previous post regarding Dr. Sen. Before I get on with the post, let me state that the purpose of this post is to talk about the state of main stream media and how it can be and is being used as a tool by divisive forces to misguide the civil society.

The Headlines of India Today dated January 10, 2011 hollered

BINAYAK SEN: JUSTICE DENIED

Here is what the magazine says:

Dr. Sen is an activist who helped jail inmates with their human rights. The law of the state came heavily on him because he had prepared a report on 'Salwa Judum', titled - Where the State Makes War on its Own People, regarding the violation of people's rights during Salwa Judum campaign in Dantewada, Chhatisgarh. The judgement of J.P.Verma (awaiting confirmation in the lower judiciary) pronounced the order in just 20 minutes. The root cause of his arrest are one Pijush Guha, who owns a bidi factory and Narayan Sanyal, a suspected Maoist ideologue. Sen used to courier the naxalite letters and journals between Guha and Sanyal. The Rule of the law broke down for Sen. In support of this 'break down' is given as - for example, the evidence A37 is a paper which was not mentioned in the seizure memo. This particular paper is a hand written and appears a fresh paper. All the evidence is circumstantial.

The entire tenor of the article makes one feel that an underdog with a heart of gold has been cornered and badgered by injustice of the ruthless might of the state.

May be injustice has been done to Dr. Sen. May be the state has perpetrated justice. That will come out during the course of future proceedings of the courts. Let us focus on the content of the Big Story of the magazine.

Notice how it has to be mentioned that the judge is awaiting confirmation in the lower judiciary. Is it to tell us about the inexperience of the Judge thus obliquely questioning the Judicial system of the nation.? Or, may be they were just stating the facts. Let us give them the benefit of doubt. 

What does it say about Sanyal.? He is a "suspected maoist ideologue". Not a hardcore naxalite but just a suspected ideologue.

Oh yeah! That means the Andhra Pradesh government has started offering rewards of INR 11,00,000/-  on suspected ideologues. How honestly they are informing us?

 Okay! What does the doctor say about his relation with Sanyal. Here it is.

I  was approached by the family of Mr Narayan Sanyal to look after his health...after he was brought to Raipur jail in 2006...It was brought to my notice that the surgery on his hands was being delayed due to communication problems between the jail and the doctors.... I played the role in facilitating his surgery... During this period there was correspondence between the prisoner's family, administration and medical authorities, of which copies were marked to me.

So, it was strictly a doctor-patient relationship. A relationship which extended upto arranging rented accommodation for the suspected ideologue and ensuring bank accounts for the patient. Really humanitarian doctor from Christian Medical College.

If someone will take the pain to go through the entire judgement, here it is. Otherwise, here is what can be considered regarding this relationship.

On 22.7.2006 Dr Binayak Sen claiming to be a relative, met with prisoner Narayan Sanyal to discuss domestic matters.

On 04.08.2008, 12.06.2006, 21.12.2006, 05.01.2007, 12.1.2007, 19.2.2007, 26.02.2007, 14.03.2007, 17.03.2007, 29.03.2007, 08.04.2007, 18.04.2007, were dates on which accused Binayak Sen came to meet accused Narayan Sanyal claiming that he was meeting him as a relative to discuss household matters.

These are from the visitor's register of the jail. Still more is there.

On 22.01.2007 advocate Sudha Bharadwaj had come with accused Binayak Sen to meet with accused Narayan Sanyal. Register Exhibit P 119 contains this entry wherein accused Binayak Sen claimed he was accused Narayan Sanyal’s brother, which he had entered and signed.The said register Exhibit P 118 was seized via seizure memo Exhibit P 136 as per the testimony of witness AP Singh (PW 45), who was jailor in Bilaspur jail. Seizure memo Exhibit P 136 from section A to A bears his signature. The above mentioned seizure memo has also been corroborated by Inspector BS Jagrit (PW 85) in his testimony. The counsel for the accused did not challenge these in any way.

On the other hand, we have honest journalists who are not on the payrolls of anti national forces. They do not publish half truths to mislead the general public. If you do not trust me, look at this article from 'The Pioneer'. A good example of investigative journalism.

I had to take a lot of pains and spend many hours into this sordid affair. The aim was to find out the truth so as to take the side of the righteous. The governments of the day are rarely righteous but it does not mean that we start supporting every anti government movement. If we do that, it will defeat the very purpose of civil society. I have seen many honest and genuinely concerned citizens favoring Dr. Sen. I request them to dig a little deeper and if I am wrong, kindly let me know.

The curious case of Dr. Binayak Sen

Nowadays, activism is big business. What one needs is registering an NGO with a fancy name, technique of networking, a few candles and event management abilities. A bit of charisma and an off beat look will add to the flavor.

I mention this here because a few days ago, I met two youths having an animated discussion about holding a candle light march in support of Dr. Binayak Sen, who had been "harshly sentenced" for rendering "medical facilities" to poor tribals. Till then I had tit bits of information about the issue and was a little unnerved by the media space that this guy was getting. So, out of curiousity and concern, I asked them about the details of the case. They were honest in admitting that they had no more idea and this much information had been given to them by a "real activist". 

I tried to find more information from those who are intellectuals and was told that he is a genuinely good person but has become a victim of state atrocities. The activist in me started waking up because if today it is him, tomorrow it could be me. The next step was to find out the people and agencies supporting this cause. One of his supporters were Amnesty International

Their headlines screamed - Indian doctor Binayak Sen's conviction and life sentence mock justice.

Amnesty. Hmmm. The name is really pleasing. Interestingly, an acquaintance of mine, who is a teacher by profession and is a displaced Kashmiri Pandit had told me something about this organization. He told me that their community felt a ray of hope when a two member team of Amnesty International came to Kashmir in order to assess the violation of human rights in the valley. The nearly 5,00,000 Kashmiri pandits, who had been plundered and forced to move out of their land have been the worst sufferers of Jihadi atrocities expected that their greivances would be heard. 

The holy team did come to the valley and heard about the human rights violations. The small change was that their audience was Yasin Malik and Syed Ahmed Geelani. Yes. The separatists, who are behind the divisive forces of our country told them that there is gross human rights violation in the valley. The Kashmiri pandits waited for these champions of human rights to visit them in their refugee camps. Silly idiots.

I pondered on the injustice to the Kashmiri Pandits but then thought that may be they just forgot the two decades of suffering of these people and now have had a change of heart. So, I went to their online petition site and checked into the 'India' section. 

I expected to find out a petition supporting the victims of Deganga riots that happened just seven months ago. I was confident that I will see the petition because a group of intellectuals had appealed to the organization for help.  Guess What? No petition. I am sure that most citizens of our country are kept in dark regarding these riots in which army had to be called out.


I was a little perplexed. What could be the reason? Definitely, just adding one page petition is not so expensive. Then I found out their little secret. Their own member Gita Sehgal had exposed the Jihadi links of Amnesty international. What would such an empathetic organization do with such unruly employees who have pulled the mask off their face. Of course sack her. That is what they did. 


Now, if one supporter is ugly, that does not mean much. Let us move on to other supporters. Next on the list is one Kavita Krishnan of CPI (ML). Does the name ring a bell, as it did in my ears. No! Okay. She was in Delhi to support those who were pelting stones on our Jawans in the valley. If you do not believe me, then take a peek here. So, birds of same feather flock together.


When we are talking of divisive forces, should we miss out on our beautiful Arundhati Roy. She has given the sordid affair the generous dose of glamor here.


Another sympathiser is "eminent journalist" Praful Bidwai. If you do not remember, when our home minister was talking about saffron terror, this guy wrote generously on this saffron terror (If you are in line with the fashion, you become eminent). Just go through his article. You will notice that he talks about Col. Purohit and Saadhvi Pragya as terrorists of saffron hue although none of them has been convicted as yet. But when the color changes from saffron to red, the guy cries injustice although the accused has been convicted in a court of law. If it is not intellectual dishonesty, then, it is surely strange.


One more detail that is astounding is that Pragya thakur, who is, according to the yardstick of "eminent" journalist, is a terrorist is accused of selling a scooter to the alleged perpetrators where as Dr. Sen and his wife have been found providing accomodation and vouching for bank accounts of terrorist responsible for more then 300 deaths. Not only that, Sen has visited this person in jail 33 times in almost as many days.


Unlike, the buyer of scooter from Pragya, the person whom Sen visited, Narayan Sanyal, carried a prize of INR 12,00,000/- on his head and was involved in attack on Chandra Babu Naidu. Here I am not questioning the motives of his visit, because it is his constitutional right. I am questioning the sense of justice and fair treatment of our "eminent" jounalist.


So, it is not only the seekers of Azadi of Kashmir from atrocities of India but also color blind persons who are espousing the cause of Dr. Sen.


Enough of divisive forces withing country. Let us talk about national integration. Sonia G (not 2G) has a National Integration Council, which is chaired by our PM (who is helpless because of his coalition dharm) . Again a holy name. One of the persons in this council is a John Dayal (Mark the name), who also is the secretary general of All India Christian Council. He participated in a candle march on India gate Delhi. Take the trouble to go through the link. This man is also supporting Teesta Setalvad. The lady who has been reprimanded by Gujarat High court as well as Supreme Court of India. Presently she is being tried for perjury, because she was asking the witnesses to lie. So, these supporters are not only supporting those forces who are divisive but also those who do not respect the highest courts of the nation. If these are the kind of supporters, well, what can one say.


Now to even more serious part. In the last 64 years we have become a nation of third party references. So, I will follow the tradition

My fear is that though Christian friends nowadays do not say or admit it that Hindu religion is untrue, they must harbour in their breast that Hinduism is an error and that Christianity, as they believe it, is the only true religion. So far as one can understand the present (Christian) effort, it is to uproot Hinduism from her very foundation and replace it by another faith.

He was REAL smart man. Today, I meet self proclaimed Gandhians, who will pee in their pants just thinking or responding to such lines or will try to twist them. But why have I mentioned it here? Think.

One natural supporter of Sen is his wife Elina Sen. I do not know if Sen is christian but his wife is. When I was watching her on NDTV, the channel of Prannoy Roy, uncle of Arundhati Roy, two things struck me. One the unusually generous coverage to her and the name she mentioned ISI. She was saying something to the effect that the courts have misunderstood ISI to be the pakistani notorious agency, whereas it was actually another ISI which is Indian Social Institute (another sweet sounding name) with which he was associated. Time to check out this social organization. Look at the name of govening body members and you will find out that it is an evangelical unit.

Now, this is what I stumbled upon while doing some background check.

The more one digs, more dirt comes out. I am not sure about the status of Dr. Sen. He may be just a doctor with a heart of gold, he may be a small fry for maoists, he may be just a sympathizer of tribals, he may be a proselytizing christian, he may have been implicated. To me he is a non issue or a minor issue at the most. The issue is our civil society. It can be taken for a ride by the propaganda machinery and very innocent people can be led to participate in a function which will turn out to be anti national. It is time we matured as a nation and had alternate modes of communicating the truth, without depending on forces who have their own axe to grind.

OH! By the way, did I mention that the organization that Dr. Sen was running with his wife had unaccounted Rupees 40,00,000/- in its account. That sounds large amount for a man touted as bare foot healer.

प्रस्तुत है बाइबल की पुस्तक लेवितिकस (Leviticus) (बाइबल की तीसरी पुस्तक) का अध्याय २६. इसाई मत के अनुसार इस पुस्तक में गौड ने मूसा को जो आदेश दिए थे, वे अंकित किये गए हैं.

26:1 Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear you up a standing image, neither shall ye set up any image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I am the LORD your God.

तुम कभी कोई मूर्ती अथवा प्रतिमा नहीं बनाओगे, न ही कभी किसी छवि की स्थापना करोगे, न ही तुम अपने क्षेत्र में पत्थर की मूर्ती बनाओगे जिसके समक्ष तुम झुको: क्योंकि तुम्हारा लॉर्ड गौड मैं हूँ.

26:2 Ye shall keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary: I am the LORD.

तुम मेरे कहे अनुसार छुट्टी लोगे और मेरी अराधना करोगे. मैं तुम्हारा लॉर्ड हूँ.

26:3 If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them;

यदि तुम मेरे नियमों और आदेशों का पालन करोगे;

26:4 Then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.

तो मैं तुम्हें समय पर वर्षा दूंगा ताकि तुम्हारी भूमि से अधिक उपज का उत्पादन हो और तुम्हारे वृक्ष अधिक फल प्रदान करें.

26:5 And your threshing shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto the sowing time: and ye shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely.

इस प्रकार तुम भर पेट भोजन खाओगे और अपने क्षेत्र में सुरक्षित रहोगे.

26:6 And I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid: and I will rid evil beasts out of the land, neither shall the sword go through your land.

मैं तुम्हें तुम्हारी धरती पर शांति प्रदान करूंगा, तुम आराम से रहोगे और तुम्हें किसी का भय नहीं होगा: मैं दुष्ट दरिंदों को तुम्हारी भूमि से भगा दूंगा, तुम्हारी भूमि पर कभी तलवार का साया नहीं होगा.

26:7 And ye shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you by the sword.

तुम  अपने शत्रुओं का पीछा करोगे, और वो तुम्हारी तलवार के कारण तुम्हारे समक्ष गिर जायेंगे.

26:8 And five of you shall chase an hundred, and an hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight: and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword.

तुम्हारे पांच उनके सौ को भगा देंगे, और सौ उनके सहस्रों को भगा देंगे: तुम्हारे शत्रु तुम्हारे समक्ष तलवार के बल से गिर जायेंगे.

26:9 For I will have respect unto you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you, and establish my covenant with you.

क्योंकि मैं तुम्हारा सम्मान करूंगा, तुम्हें समृद्ध करूंगा और तुम्हारे साथ संधि करूंगा.

26:10 And ye shall eat old store, and bring forth the old because of the new.

अभी तुम्हारे पास गत वर्ष की उपज समाप्त नहीं हुई होगी कि नयी उपज आ जायेगी.

 26:11 And I set my tabernacle among you: and my soul shall not abhor you.

 मैं तुम्हारे साथ रहूँगा और तुम्हारी निंदा नहीं करूंगा.

26:12 And I will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be my people.

मैं तुम्हारे साथ चलूँगा और तुम्हारा गौड रहूँगा, और तुम मेरे लोग रहोगे.

26:13 I am the LORD your God, which brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, that ye should not be their bondmen; and I have broken the bands of your yoke, and made you go upright.

मैं तुम्हारा लॉर्ड गौड हूँ जो तुम्हें मिस्र की धरती से निकाल कर लाया हूँ ताकि तुम उनके बंधुआ सेवक न रहो. मैंने तुम्हारे बंधन मुक्त कर दिए हैं ताकि तुम सीधे हो सको. 

26:14 But if ye will not hearken unto me, and will not do all these commandments;

किन्तु यदि तुमने मेरी बात नहीं सुनी अथवा मेरे आदेशों का पालन नहीं किया;

26:15 And if ye shall despise my statutes, or if your soul abhor my judgments, so that ye will not do all my commandments, but that ye break my covenant:

और यदि तुमने मेरे नियमों की निंदा की, अथवा मेरे निर्णय की अवहेलना की और मेरे साथ की संधि को भंग किया:

Now, let us see, How God will punish for worshipping someone else:-

26:16 I also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.

मैं भी तुम्हारे प्रति ऐसा ही करूंगा; मैं तुम्हारे ऊपर आतंक, विनाश और अग्नि का प्रकोप करूँगा, जो तुम्हारे आँखों की ज्योति को नष्ट करेगा और कष्ट देगा: तुम्हारे बीज व्यर्थ ही जायेंगे क्योंकि तुम्हारे शत्रु उन्हें खा जायेंगे. 

26:17 And I will set my face against you, and ye shall be slain before your enemies: they that hate you shall reign over you; and ye shall flee when none pursueth you. 

मैं तुम्हारे विरोध में खड़ा हो जाऊंगा, और तुम्हारे शत्रु तुम्हें मार देंगे: जो तुमसे घृणा करते हैं वो तुम पर शासन करेंगे; और तुम्हें भागना पड़ेगा.

26:18 And if ye will not yet for all this hearken unto me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins.

और  यदि तुमने इतने पर भी मेरा आदेश नहीं माना, तो मैं तुम्हें इन पाप कर्मों के लिए सात बार दण्डित करूँगा.

26:19 And I will break the pride of your power; and I will make your heaven as iron, and your earth as brass:

और  मैं तुम्हारे शक्ति के घमंड को तोड़ दूंगा, मैं तुम्हारे आकाश को लौह की भांति बना दूंगा और भूमि को पीतल की भांति.

26:20 And your strength shall be spent in vain: for your land shall not yield her increase, neither shall the trees of the land yield their fruits.

तुम्हारी शक्ति व्यर्थ हो जायेगी: क्योंकि तुम्हारी भूमि की उपज नहीं बढ़ेगी और न ही तुम्हारे विर्क्ष तुम्हें फल देंगे.

26:21 And if ye walk contrary unto me, and will not hearken unto me; I will bring seven times more plagues upon you according to your sins.

और  यदि तुम ने मेरे विरुद्ध आचरण किया और मेरा कहा नहीं माना; तो तुम्हारे पाप कर्मों के लिए मैं तुम पर सात बार हैजे की महामारी का प्रकोप करूंगा. 

 सात बार २६:१८ + सात बार २६: २१ = १४ बार

26:22 I will also send wild beasts among you, which shall rob you of your children , and destroy your cattle, and make you few in number; and your high ways shall be desolate.

मैं तुम पर जंगली पशु छोड़ दूंगा, जो तुम से तुम्हारे बच्चे छीन लेंगे, तुम्हारे पालतू पशुओं को नष्ट कर देंगे, तुम्हारी संख्या को कम कर देंगे, और तुम्हारे मुख्य मार्ग वीरान हो जायेंगे.

26:23 And if ye will not be reformed by me by these things, but will walk contrary unto me;

और यदि इस पर भी तुम नहीं सुधरे और मेरे प्रतिकूल चलते रहे;

26:24 Then will I also walk contrary unto you, and will punish you yet seven times for your sins.

तो मैं भी तुम्हारे विरुद्ध चलूँगा और तुम्हें तुम्हारे पाप कर्मों के लिए सात बार दण्डित करूंगा.

१४ + ७ = २१ बार

26:25 And I will bring a sword upon you, that shall avenge the quarrel of my covenant: and when ye are gathered together within your cities, I will send the pestilence among you; and ye shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy.

और  मैं तलवार के बल से मेरे साथ की गयी संधि तोड़ने का प्रतिशोध लूँगा: जब तुम अपने नगरों में एकत्रित हो रहे होगे तो मैं वहाँ महामारी छोड़ दूंगा; और तुम अपने शत्रुओं के अधीन हो जाओगे.

26:26 And when I have broken the staff of your bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and they shall deliver you your bread again by weight: and ye shall eat, and not be satisfied.

जब मैं तुम्हारे लिए भोजन की उपलब्धता में कमी कर दूंगा तो दस महिलाएं एक ही चूल्हे में खाना पकाएँगी और कमी के कारण कम भोजन देंगी जिसे तुम खाओगे तो तृप्ति नहीं होगी.

26:27 And if ye will not for all this hearken unto me, but walk contrary unto me;

और  यदि इस पर भी तुमने मेरा कहा नहीं सुना और मेरे विरुद्ध चले;

26:28 Then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins.

तो क्रोधवश, मैं भी तुम्हारे विरुद्ध चलूँगा; और मैं, हाँ मैं, तुम्हें तुम्हारे पाप कर्मों के लिए सात बार दण्डित करूंगा.

२१ + ७ = २८ बार 

 

26:29 And ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall ye eat.

और  तुम अपने बेटों का मांस खाओगे, और अपनी बेटियों का मांस खाओगे.

26:30 And I will destroy your high places, and cut down your images, and cast your carcases upon the carcases of your idols, and my soul shall abhor you.

मैं  तुम्हारे पवित्र स्थानों को नष्ट कर दूंगा और मूर्तियों को काट कर फेंक दूंगा, तुम्हारे शवों को उन निर्जीव मूर्तियों पर ढेर लगा दूंगा और तुम्हारी निंदा करूंगा.

26:31 And I will make your cities waste, and bring your sanctuaries unto desolation, and I will not smell the savour of your sweet odours.

मैं  तुम्हारे नगरों को नष्ट कर दूंगा, तुम्हारे निवास स्थान वीरान कर दूंगा, और मैं तुम्हारे द्वारा अर्पित सुगन्धित वस्तुओं को नहीं सून्घूँगा.

26:32 And I will bring the land into desolation: and your enemies which dwell therein shall be astonished at it.

और मैं उस भूमि को विनष्ट कर दूंगा: तुम्हारे शत्रु जो अब वहाँ रहेंगे वो इसे देख कर आश्चर्य करेंगे.

26:33 And I will scatter you among the heathen, and will draw out a sword after you: and your land shall be desolate, and your cities waste.

और मैं तुम्हें हीथनों (हीथन शब्द का प्रयोग मूर्ती पूजा करने वालों के लिए घृणा से प्रयोग किया जाने वाला शब्द है. यहूदियों, ईसाईयों और मुसलामानों के अतिरिक्त सभी को हीथन कहा जाता है) में खदेड़ दूंगा और तुम्हारे पीछे तलवार से वार करूंगा: तुम्हारी भूमि वीरान हो जायेगी और तुम्हारे नगर नष्ट.

26:34 Then shall the land enjoy her sabbaths, as long as it lieth desolate, and ye be in your enemies' land; even then shall the land rest, and enjoy her sabbaths.

जब तक भूमि वीरान होगी, वो अपनी इस छुट्टी का आनंद लेगी और तुम अपने शत्रुओं की भूमि पर होगे; तब भी भूमि अपनी छुट्टी का आनंद लेगी.

26:35 As long as it lieth desolate it shall rest; because it did not rest in your sabbaths, when ye dwelt upon it.

जब तक ये वीरान रहेगी, ये विश्राम करेगी; क्योंकि इसने तुम्हारी छुट्टी के समय विश्राम नहीं किया था, जब तुम इस पर रहते थे.

26:36 And upon them that are left alive of you I will send a faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies; and the sound of a shaken leaf shall chase them; and they shall flee, as fleeing from a sword; and they shall fall when none pursueth.

और  तुम में से जो जीवित बच जायेंगे, उनके ह्रदय मैं भय से ऐसे भर दूंगा कि जब वो अपने शत्रु के क्षेत्र में रहेंगे तो एक पत्ते के हिलने से भी वो भयभीत हो जायेंगे और भाग खड़े होंगे मानो वो तलवार के भय से भाग रहे हों. जब कोई उनका पीछा नहीं कर रहा होगा, वो तब भी गिर जाया करेंगे.

26:37 And they shall fall one upon another, as it were before a sword, when none pursueth: and ye shall have no power to stand before your enemies.

और  जब कोई उनका पीछा नहीं कर रहा होगा, तो भी वो एक दूसरे के ऊपर गिरते जायेंगे मानो तलवार के भय से भागे हों: तुम में अपने शत्रु का सामना करने की शक्ति नहीं रहेगी.

26:38 And ye shall perish among the heathen, and the land of your enemies shall eat you up.

तुम  हीथनों के मध्य में समाप्त हो जाओगे और तुम्हारे शत्रुओं की भूमि तुम्हें खा जायेगी.

26:39 And they that are left of you shall pine away in their iniquity in your enemies' lands; and also in the iniquities of their fathers shall they pine away with them.

और  तुम में से जो बच गए हैं, अपने पाप कर्मों के कारण अपने शत्रुओं की भूमि पर नष्ट हो जायेगे; और अपने पूर्वजों के पाप कर्मों के कारण भी वो नष्ट हो जायेंगे.

26:40 If they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, with their trespass which they trespassed against me, and that also they have walked contrary unto me;

यदि  वे अपने पाप और अपने पूर्वजों के पाप कर्म जो मेरे विरुद्ध किये गए, उन्हें स्वीकार कर लेंगे;

26:41 And that I also have walked contrary unto them, and have brought them into the land of their enemies; if then their uncircumcised hearts be humbled, and they then accept of the punishment of their iniquity:

और  इसे भी कि मैं उनके विरुद्ध चला हूँ और उन्हें उनके शत्रुओं के क्षेत्र में लाया हूँ; इस पर यदि उनके खतना न किये हुए ह्रदय विनम्र हो जाते हैं, और वो अपने पापों के दंड को स्वीकार कर लेते हैं:

26:42 Then will I remember my covenant with Jacob, and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I will remember the land.

तब  मैं स्मरण करूंगा जेकब से की हुई संधि, और मेरी आइसैक से की हुई संधि, और मेरी अब्राहम से की हुई संधि, और मैं उस भूमि को भी स्मरण करूंगा.

26:43 The land also shall be left of them, and shall enjoy her sabbaths, while she lieth desolate without them: and they shall accept of the punishment of their iniquity: because, even because they despised my judgments, and because their soul abhorred my statutes.

जो  भूमि अब वीरान है और छुट्टी का आनंद ले रही है: और वो अपने पाप कर्मों के दंड का भोग कर रहे हैं: क्योंकि उन्होंने मेरे निर्णयों का सम्मान नहीं किया और मेरे आदेशों का तिरस्कार किया.

26:44 And yet for all that, when they be in the land of their enemies, I will not cast them away, neither will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly, and to break my covenant with them: for I am the LORD their God.

ये सब होने के उपरान्त भी, मैं उन्हें पूर्ण रूप से नहीं त्याग दूंगा और न ही उनका सम्पूर्ण विनाश करूंगा, और न ही अपनी संधि तोडूंगा: क्योंकि मैं तो उनका लॉर्ड, उनका गौड हूँ.

26:45 But I will for their sakes remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the heathen, that I might be their God: I am the LORD.

किन्तु मैं उनके कारण उनके पूर्वजों से किया हुआ वचन नहीं तोडूंगा, जिन्हें मैं, हीथनों के सामने, मिस्र की भूमि से  निकाल कर लाया था ताकि मैं उनका गौड बनूँ. मैं उनका लॉर्ड हूँ.

26:46 These are the statutes and judgments and laws, which the LORD made between him and the children of Israel in mount Sinai by the hand of Moses.   

ये  वो नियम और आदेश हैं, जो लॉर्ड ने इस्राइल की संतानों के साथ मूसा के हाथों सिनाई पर्वत पर किये हैं.
