When Ramdev decided to sit on a satyagrah, the preparations like cleaning of the Ramlila ground was carried out by his volunteers. On the other hand, MCD did its best to clean up the ground for Anna to conduct his Satyagrah.
When Ramdev made his arrangements, the media had started defaming by hyping up terms like 'five star anshan' but when it came to Anna, the media almost deified him.
The disgraceful manner in which Swami Ramdev was treated by 'team Anna' is a pointer in the direction this charade is taking place. To understand the flow, one has to go back to the same Ramlila ground.
The date was 27 February, 2011. Swami Ramdev had asssembled not only about one lakh of his followers but also Anna, Kiran Bedi, Arvind Kejriwal, Agnivesh, Ramjethmalani, Khairnar and Vishv Bandhu Gupta (former IT commissioner of Mumbai, who was a key person in arrest of notorious Hasan Ali). Not many knew Anna at that time. Not outside Maharashtra, that is. Anna and his team were all humility in front of Ramdev, whose dias they were using to further themselves. Till this time, Anna had been almost a nobody at the national level. But it all changed on April 4, 2011, when Anna caught the imagination of the nation by sitting at Jantar Mantar for his fast in support of Jan lokpal bill.
That unprecedented coverage changed the humble Anna. This change of nature should be seen in light of what Yogesh Pratap singh, a former top cop of Mumbai has said about Anna. Y.P.Singh was one of the first IPS officers of the country who had the courage to join Anna in 2003, while still in service. The very next day, Anna played his ace. He wrote a letter to Antonia informing her that he had put condition on Ramdev that there should be no politicians or communal persons on the stage if Ramdev wants Anna's support.
Playing from both sides!
That must have clinched it for Anna.
Let us try to think from the perspective of Antonia Maino and all the other corrupt persons having millions stashed in secret banks.
On one side is Baba Ramdev. Asking for their money to be brought back to India and he wants it to be declared National Property, which it definitely is. Not only that, he had the guts to oppose the draconian 'Prevention of communal and targeted violence bill', which Anna or his team mates will never dare to challenge.
On the other hand is Anna, who is asking for passing of a bill which will lead to formation of a new institution. Congress has all the expertise of jeopardizing such institutions. That is if it comes down to creating one. CVC, CAG and CBI are cases in point. Asking for autonomy of these already existing institutes would not have looked so dramatic to the middle class of the nation. Secondly, unlike the formidable Bharat Swabhiman organization of Swami Ramdev, Anna has no organization for grass root mobilization. The day cameras are turned away from him, he will be out of hair of the authorities. Thirdly, desipite his bravado, Anna gives undue importance to Antonia, which is in direct opposition to the openly defiant stand of Baba Ramdev.
All in all, Anna suits the plans of UPA perfectly well. Enhancing his stature by using ever subservient media and ridiculing Ramdev has been a master stroke. Public is savouring the feel good factor as their anger has been pent up in the fortnight of slogan mongering, which augurs well for the government. Steamed out populace is easier to control then one which is charged up.
In nutshell, government has given away nothing, has released the pressure cooker like situation of the nation and, at least for the time being, pushed Baba Ramdev into an obscure corner.
Ours is the nation, where three inimical evil forces Evangelists, Maoists, Marxists and Islamic Jihadists have joined hands for its disintegration. All of them denounce the traditional values and culture and are patently anti Hindu. Let us look at this 'axis of evil'.

I have been seeing for the past 8 years of my association with Anna, he is one person who gets impressed by the colour of authority. If a senior politician or minister calls up, he gets overwhelmed. One can never fight against an authority if you get impressed by his stature. His praise for Sonia Gandhi is one such example. The effect of this praise was like a pronouncement of a PR person trying to show that a corrupt government was honest.Therein lies the key. Praising Antonia Maino. It was a picture of Bharat Mata. One which millions of our countrymen adore. Anna changed the backdrop to pacify Antonia's pet poodle Harsh Mander, Maoists and leftist politicians. Read the story here.
Had he not used the picture from the beginning, it would not have made a difference. But removing Bharat Mata because some rascal sees some perversion in it is height of hypocrisy.
For someone who claims to be non communal, this sure looks like a strange move.
Even more shameless was the response of Kiran Bedi and Arvind Kejriwal, who went to pacify Shahi Imam Bukhari when this rabidly fundamental Mullah asked Muslims to remain aloof from the movement for some equally stupid reasons. The reason might be the clout that Bukhari has with Antonia.This little drama will help you understand the 'secular' angle of the entire sham game.
When a Danish cartoonist had drawn portraits of Islamic prophet Mohammad, Bukhari, like a typical bigot got hyper and went weeping to Antonia, who was all sympathy for such an 'atrocity'. Here is what she shared with Bukhari:
‘I have received your letter and share your sense of outrage about the publication of insensitive cartoons of the Prophet. The United Progressive Alliance government has conveyed its strong sentiments to the government of Denmark through the Indian and Danish ambassadors in our respective countries,’ the letter said.
What a load of rubbish. That is how strong and 'sickular' Anna and his team is folks.
The extent upto which Team Anna and media went to ensure that Swami Ramdev should not get highlighted can be gauged from the fact that the news of death of 'Arun K Das' of Bharat Swabhiman trust was blacked out by media and Anna or his team did not even acknowledge the death of a patriot.
We are all familiar with the martyrdom of Bhagat singh and how Nehru enjoyed the perks. Will we learn? Ever?
